Pet sickness and diarrhoea policy

To help keep all pets in my care safe, healthy and happy, I’m unable to walk, sit or visit pets who are experiencing sickness (vomiting) and/or diarrhoea.

If your pet has either of these symptoms, please let me know as soon as possible. I’ll pause walks or visits until your pet has been symptom-free for at least 48 hours.

This applies to both group and solo walks, as well as pet sits and home visits, as there’s still a risk of cross-contamination via shared equipment, my car, clothing, footwear, and other homes I may visit.

Please ensure you bear this in mind so that you can arrange appropriate cover.

Even if your pet seems otherwise well, these symptoms can be a sign of contagious bugs that spread easily between pets and homes – so it’s always better to be safe.

If a pet becomes unwell on a walk, sit or visit, I will follow my Illness Policy and Procedure. If you would like a copy of this Policy and Procedure, please just let me know.

Thanks so much for your understanding – your pet’s wellbeing (and everyone else’s) is always my top priority.
