Purpose

Ginger and Tails is committed to protecting personal data and complying with UK data protection legislation.

This policy explains how individuals can raise concerns or complaints about how Ginger and Tails collects, uses, stores, shares, or otherwise handles their personal information.

How to make a complaint

If you have a concern about how your personal data has been handled, please contact Ginger and Tails as soon as possible.

Complaints can be submitted:

By email: [email protected]

To help me investigate your concerns, please provide:

  • Your name and contact details
  • A description of your concern or complaint
  • Any relevant dates or supporting information

You do not need to use a specific form to make a complaint.

Acknowledgement of complaints

Ginger and Tails will acknowledge receipt of your data protection complaint within 30 calendar days of receiving it.

The acknowledgement may request additional information if required to understand or investigate the complaint.

Investigation and response

Upon receiving a complaint, Ginger and Tails will:

  • Review the concerns raised
  • Make any appropriate enquiries or investigations
  • Consider whether any corrective action is required
  • Keep you informed of progress where appropriate

Complaints will be handled without undue delay and as promptly as reasonably possible.

Outcome

Once my investigation is complete, I will provide a written response explaining:

  • The outcome of the complaint
  • Any action taken, where applicable
  • Any further steps available to you if you remain dissatisfied

Escalation to the Information Commissioner’s Office

I hope to resolve any concerns directly. However, if you remain dissatisfied with my response, you have the right to raise your concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Information about making a complaint to the ICO can be found on the ICO website.

Review of this policy
